General Terms and Conditions
Etter Art Academy
Workshop participants can rebook to another date free of charge.
Dear workshop participants,
unfortunately, we cannot do without the so-called “fine print” either, so we would like to explain our General Terms and Conditions to you below.
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions form part of your booking agreement. By making a booking, you accept them.
2. Contracting party, conclusion of the contract
The purchase contract is concluded with Etter Art Akademie Stefanie Etter. The presentation of the workshops on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding online presentation.
By clicking the “Register Now” button, you submit a binding registration (order) for the selected workshop. Receipt of your registration (order) and acceptance of the order are confirmed immediately after submission by an automated email. The purchase contract is concluded upon receipt of this email confirmation.
The language available for concluding the contract is German. We store the contract text and send you the order details and our General Terms and Conditions by email. You can also view and download the General Terms and Conditions on this page at any time.
3. Information about your booking
You will receive a registration confirmation by email. A deposit of 50% of the workshop fee is due within 14 days. Please refer to your registration confirmation for the due dates of the deposit and the remaining balance. For one-day workshops, the full amount must be paid immediately. Registrations only become valid once the deposit/payment has been made within the specified deadline.
You will also receive detailed information about the workshop you have booked and a materials list. Please note that the number of participants is limited for all workshops. Registrations are considered in the order in which they are received, provided that the deposit is paid on time.
4. Cancellation of workshops
If there are insufficient participants or the instructor is unable to teach due to illness, the planned workshop may be cancelled. In this case, your deposit will of course be refunded, or you can rebook to another workshop. Any further claims are excluded.
5. Cancellation of a registration
If you are unable to attend a workshop for which you have registered, you must notify us in writing.
Depending on when you cancel, the following cancellation fees apply:
Within 14 days of registration: free of charge
Cancellation up to 29 days before the start of the workshop: €50
Cancellation from 28 days before the start of the workshop: 50% of the workshop fee
Cancellation from 21 days before the start of the workshop: 100% of the workshop fee
Cancellation at the start of the workshop or later: 100% of the workshop fee
If no written cancellation is received: 100% of the workshop fee
If you provide a replacement participant who attends the workshop and pays the fee, the cancellation fees will be waived. If you leave a workshop before it has ended, you are not entitled to a refund of the workshop fee or any part of it. If there is a waiting list or the Etter Art Academy provides a replacement participant, an administration fee of €25 will apply.
We recommend taking out seminar insurance independently, which may provide cover in the event of an accident, serious illness or another important insured reason. Some providers also reimburse hotel and travel costs.
6. Liability
The Etter Art Academy is not liable for accidents, theft or damage of any kind occurring during the workshop or inside or outside the workshop premises. Participants assume full responsibility for their actions on the premises, particularly when using potentially harmful art materials, thinners, pigment dust, etc. This applies both to themselves and to the other workshop participants. Before working with synthetic resin/resin, you will receive safety instructions. Participants release the organiser and workshop instructors from any liability.
7. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made by bank transfer upon receipt of the invoice.
8. Cancellation policy
Right of cancellation
You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The cancellation period is fourteen days from the date on which the contract is concluded. To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform Etter Art Academy Stefanie Etter of your decision to cancel this contract by means of a clear statement sent by email. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising your right of cancellation before the cancellation period expires. For registrations made 14 days before the start of the workshop, the cancellation terms apply.
9. Discounted material purchases
When you register for a workshop, you have the opportunity to purchase products from the Etter Art online shop at discounted prices. To do so, create a customer account and send an email to Shop@etter-art.com (or use the contact form) asking for your account to be activated for the discount.
Once your account has been activated, only the discounted prices will be displayed. This offer does not form part of the contract and may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
